Last week, I've received an email inviting me to check a new online publication called the MidEastConnect. As the email describes it, "The MidEastConnect is the first, weekly e-magazine and Website dedicated to young, driven and forward-thinking Middle Eastern individuals. Each week we profile the talents of young successful individuals, companies and incredible non-profit organizations."

 

I have checked them, and it seems like a pretty cool e-zine; it simply connects you to what is happening in your community and what your peers are doing in order to make things better.

 

The e-zine presents the following topics in each issue:

• The Young and Professional Profile: presents a Mideastern professional making a mark in the career world
• The Non-Profit profile: spots the light on the people that are making it their mission to make the Mideast a better place
• News By Nation: discusses the news affecting the Mideast and segments them by nation

Today, I came across a Web Site called Jordan Planet. This site is is a portal attempting to link different Jordanians who share the passion of writing blogs, as well as promote and encourage blog writting in Jordan. I think this sounds like a cool idea and it is good to see something like this going on in Jordan.

 

Way to go guys and good luck.

 

P.S. Hope it will snow tomorrow in Jordan. If it does, could someone please talk a walk in the snow for me?
